So Leia is a baby that wasn't bought. She was given to me. So far the journey with her has been a struggle but me and her are slowly bonding. How many started like that too? No money no job but your friend needs to find her a home.

Thank you so much. She's prissy and sassy but after a week of owning her I have grown to love her. She's still skittish. I can softly pet her little feet and she let's me get within inches of her with my hand open. But if I touch her side or her tail she jumps and goes to the corner. She just started taking food from me (sadly I know I use tongs cause the bugs freak me out and the crickets I have to hold still or she won't find them). It's a process but she's growing on me.

Instead of trying to pick her up by her sides, or touching her tail. Try sliding your hand up under her belly. That way it doesn't look like a giant mouth coming to grab her. Also, when you get to the point you can pick her up like that. Place her on your chest and pet her with your whole hand. That way she will get use to your hands being above her. Feed her butter squash by hand also. Cut it into little cubes and will wiggle it on your finger. When she eats from your hand she will also start to realize it's a good thing. They're not like mammals. They don't trust easily, but when they do learn to trust you, that are a blast and a half.

I can't pick her up. Like when I try she jumps making me jump and runs to a corner.
