Mine also does that. To be more precisely: He is pooping always at the same spot (within an inch) and this is where he usually not is. That spot is right in front of the glass. (Otherwise he isn't there as enclosure opens from the top.) I guess he knows I can remove it more easily there. The first few weeks he pooped rather randomly somewhere (but always in the substrate, never on branch or basking platforms or anything else), sometimes so far to the back of the enclosure I had to use the tongs.

You can tell where the poop is going to be in my habitats by where my beardies are..... they are as far away as they can physically get lol.

Definitely. He's been trying to 'mark' his new basking spot by pooping on it. But, he's only marking the 'paddings' on there to make sure he doesn't fall off. And he has something to grip.

He tries to make it easier for me since I'm recovering from Acute Sinusitis. He knows I'm not well from the way I've been acting lately.
