Cooper is very prudent, and probably right. I'm a tough old bird. I played with mercury as a child when the thermometers broke, and have done much riskier things than that over the course of my life. A little salmonella doesn't scare me. Perhaps it should. Lol.

Some of us just wont admit it, but I will.

Thank you everyone! It seemed like such a silly question on one hand however on the other you just want to be sure. Sooooo lil kisses on his head and nose bumps on his nose! ??????????????

No dragon kissing for me ! Never, not even once. I love my pets dearly, but even my furry ones never got kissed....snuggles + hugs yes....kisses no. A vet that I took my cats to told me of a family friend who got a puppy for the kids. The little boy let it lick his face and the puppy transmitted worms to his eyes and the boy went blind. Just watch a dog clean his rear end, then think of it licking your mouth [ or like on funny videos, inside your mouth ] Nasty in the extreme. Also, there may be many reptile owners who have actually had a case of salmonella [ vomiting, diarrhea ] but being healthy just got over it + called it a stomach virus. I would err on the side of caution. Love them and enjoy them but I'd never kiss them !

I was afraid to kiss my beardie until I saw Michel Behrends on YouTube. Just watch him unbox some new guys! Kiss overload. Now I kiss my guy on the head and on the beard. I asked my husband the other day who he thought gets the most kisses in our home. He looked at me and said "The Lizard". He is so right! Love my baby! :love5:

I dont kiss my dragon just because I dont even think to. I dont think they even care if its a kiss or a pet so I keep it on the safe side. I keep my dragon clean and his enclosure is always immaculate. But i still dont care to kiss him. Either way, have a good time with your bud and just make sure you wash hands before and after to minimize anything. Have a great time with your dragon, they love the love!!!

I don't do it a ton, but I do give Gary little kisses. Not big slobbery ones, just little pecks. My boyfriend is more paranoid about it than I am, haha. I was cautious when we first got him but honestly I just want to love him up all the time because I'm so attached now :lol:

Puff was a real kisser (he was the one doing the kissing), Rex does this sometimes too.

We tend not to kiss our pets , but I do give chin-nose bumps to all my lizards.
