First of all I am so happy that Kazi is doing better!MissT":eb457 said:Sorry for posting again, but I suddenly became concerned about the critical care dosage. The vet said to mix a quarter teaspoon of the powder with 5ml of water - he said to make this mixture up 3 times per day to feed him. That makes 15 ml. Does that seem like a lot? Hes approx 700g.
Edit - its the Vetark critical care (UK) rather than the Flukers.
Thanks

Haha I think it was more of a 'get that thing out of my mouth!'puppytoes72":a0adb said:It sure sounds like he's enjoying the critical care if he attacked the syringe
However 1 scoop per 500g -2kg of animal is in line with current recommendations, dilution should be 1 in 3 or greater. Administering CCF to reptiles every 4-5 days is generally sufficient, extra fluids can be given with AVIPRO or REPTOBOOST.
Yes,the Oxbrow is a herbivore diet only, they gave me something seperate for protein (Hills diet) but I didnt have to use the protein stuff because she ended up eating crickets 2 days later.MissT":0f555 said:Did you see this, Michelle? http://www.vetark.co.uk/pages/Critical-Care.aspx?pageid=229
The oxbow must not contain the protein that the vetark does.
Hmmm... I just read this and it has made me quite concerned!

That is awesome that he is enjoying more and he ate a bite of salad Im sorry his black beard is back though Its getting late over there now though, maybe he is just tired?
