Id be the same way. *cough cough* Having the triple decker saves so much space and it puts them all in one spot i need one more but my hubby wont build me another cause it would have a empty spot to fill *giggles*
Yes, I could use the extra space!!! I think I'm at my max for quite awhile!

Thanks Sandy! I left work early today to come home and spend a little time with her. She's a doll, she's got a nice creamy belly but she hasn't eaten for me today except a little salad while I was gone. I had to give all 5 dragons a bath today because for some reason they all pooped in their viv and ran around through it :puke:
You know how "hydrated" they get when they get horns everyday!!!!

Oh yeah! Horns=pretty messy poop! And it gets EVERYWHERE if you don't catch it quick! LOL
Sounds like you were feeling a little "under the weather" cough, cough, good thing you left early today! LOL

I can't even imagine having to clean up 5 vivs full of poo or giving 5 baths.... you are amazing and truly addicted and maybe even a little crazy!

That's funny! Have I said that before??? The funny thing is that yesterday was the first whole day that the new baby was there and it was no different with 5 than it was with 4....I would imagine that when you have "several" it doesn't make it much harder because you're already used to doing everything....I'm curious what Barb has to say on this one....

As far as crazy, one of my co-workers told me today that I'm the only "alternative" friend that he has!!!!! Apparently reptiles, tattoos and red hair put a label on me!!!!! WOW!

Well, you know all of us reptile owners are a little "different". What is that all about anyway?

Beardies I find to be much like children after the first couple you don't even notice a difference with more. Other than certain chores can take longer...like instead of making a couple of little salads you now make up large containers at a time and bathtime that's where I see the difference as it takes much longer. Though I've learned to give out 3 baths at a time or short soaks in the sterile lite container on several days of the week and a few longer soaks on the less busy days or as one needs it. The difference for me really showed over time when you start to realize hey I've not washed my windows in quite sometime...or if you can not remember the last time you cleaned out your cupboards, washed walls, or even cleaned out your kids room. They will take over.

I agree, if I'm cooking dinner for the kids, it doesn't matter if there's 2 boys or 10 it still takes the same amount of time! Bath time is the big difference though, I don't use the rubbermaid totes or sterilite bins, I use the sink so it's only 2 at a time... I spot clean everyday and lately I have had to vaccum out the dried greens that everyone throughs around their vivs but that only takes a few minutes. The once per week deep cleans are the longest. Feeding time does take awhile since the 4 older beardies are hand fed. I'm gonna try not to do that with the new baby, I have a bowl with Dubia in her viv (that's how it was at the store so she's used to it)

I try to break down on the deep cleaning instead of doing all the viv's in one day like I use to, I do a couple here and there makes it not such a chore. The daily stuff is easy like you said just vacuum out and wipe down. I just started using the plastic tub this last year with babies and it seemed to make it easier for those quick get the poop out baths. Of course they still get a few long soaks per week in the sink or big tub too. But yes it's the long soaks/baths that really take up the most time.

Good luck with the not hand feeding the new girl...I believe I've even heard those words out of my own mouth before several times. Hmmm...not even gonna say it with Roux.

Barbara, that's a good idea to split up the deep cleaning so that's it's not so daunting! I guess your right about hand feeding the baby, I was already thinking that it wouldn't be fair for her not to get buggy time bonding!!! HA! How funny! I know that you mentioned once before that Frank made shelves or something for some of your vivs, are there any pics of that on any of your threads?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
