~Katrina's Magnificent Menagerie~9/16 BABY PICS!!

I'm so excited that tomorrow (10/13/09) my new little Beardie daughter Fiona :love10: will start her journey home! Princess Fiona was born in California,Barbara (fresnowitte) has been preparing her for her forever home in Washington. Her parents are PVT Blaze and Ms. Tiggs, some of you know her brother Bligg. I am anxiously awaiting her arrival! So without further adu, here is Princess Fiona

Wow is right, they both have such pretty colours. You're doing such a great job with all your babies & adults, I'm sorry that Envy isn't improving.
You can't load up enough pictures for us pic hogs, more, more, more :mrgreen: :mrgreen: I haven't checked your facebook yet, I'll have to get going on that!

Hi deb! I did get a few more pics up in FB. These babies are eating crickets and salad already!!! They're a little smaller than Belle and Fiona's babies but I guess that's to be expected. There were still several 4 inch babies and 4 grams so that's good!!

OMG I am so going to get my computer taken away from me if I keep looking at these pics... I just got caught and I thought i was being sneeky

HA!!! Sounds like me! I have to hide from my kids, they tell me "NO MORE MOM!!!" Now at least I can say, It's for the business! LOL!

Wow, they sure are stunning. It has to be so much fun watching them run around, eat and splash in their baths. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to part with any of them though.

How is Envy doing? Any change at all?

Diane, it's really hard sending them to new homes but gosh I've talked to 3 people this week that bought babies and were just calling to tell me how happy they are with them so my cup runneth over!!
Envy is still the exact same...that's the problem. She just won't improve...I've got her on Reptaid to see if that will help...She won't even eat waxworms on her own Her fecal is clean...

Sorry to hear that Envy is still not doing well. Is she continuing to lose wt? She won't eat anything on her own at all? Is she walking around? How old is she again?

Hi Kat, it's great that you're getting calls from new owners, it must be so gratifying to see the result of all of your & your dragons hard work. Way to go Kat. You'll soon be known as a great breeder & you'll need help with all the upkeep! Guess day by day is better :mrgreen:

They're all starting to slow down. Lonzo's already into sleeping, we'll see if he wakes up today.

Sorry to hear that Envy is still not doing well. Is she continuing to lose wt? She won't eat anything on her own at all? Is she walking around? How old is she again?

Diane, she's never lost weight but she's never gained either...She was 95 grams when I got her (in Feb) and now she's right at 200...Very sad for me. She's outside asI type, I try to get her out everyday because I know that she likes it...Every once in awhile she will eat on her own and she only gets active when she's outside. She'll be a year old in November.

Thanks Deb!!! It is incredibly gratifying, as far as become "big time" I don't know if I have the business sense to do that...I just want to produce healthy, quality family pets for people to love and enjoy as much as I do!

I am sad to report that Envy passed away on Saturday. I thought that she was making progress but like Crush, she was just not strong enough. I'm devastated by her loss and still trying to deal with it...I can say that I will NEVER in my life recommend BBD!!! I hate to bash but I have so much anger about the 2 dragons I received from them...Once I feel a little better I'll post some baby pics... Everyone else is doing amazing, healthy and strong just how they should be...

I'm sorry for your loss of Envy. I'm sure she knew she was loved but the fact that you lost 2 beardies from the same person, I agree with you, don't go back to them, it seems like you'll only loose another beardie and all of us that has lost beardies know how much that hurts.

Thank you all, this has hit me so hard even though I've known it was coming...I really thought that I could help her. She didn't go very peacefully and now I'm beating myself up every day for not having her put to sleep a few days earlier to avoid her suffering. I cleaned her cage out today because it just seemed too empty, crying while steam cleaning is a bad idea by the way...I had 8 adult dragons before I got them and aside from Mojo (who came to me at 11 months old) NONE of my dragons have had any sickness or disease, not even pinworms. I have had them all fecal tested twice per year over the last 2 years and so for both Crush and Envy to pass makes me so angry. It re-affirms why buying from small family oriented breeders is the only way I'll ever go...I know that the only reason that either one of those beardies lived as long as they did is because they came to me rather than somieone who may not have been as experienced...My blood is boiling just thinking about it and I can't stop the tears but I had to get my rant off my chest. Thanks again for listening and understanding, my non-beardie friends just don't get it.
