ILL yes I've read that about popping food into the open mouth! They're so quick tho-usually by the time I get something about to put in they've closed up already. They are so not interested in veggies, not even fruits-mango, strawberries, watermelon, all the stuff I've heard beardies love- nothing. The bigger one will gobble down a zucchini flower sometimes... I chop up dandelion leaves, clovers, and sometimes a little kale or collard green or mustard greens. occasionally a bit of romaine but mostly dandelion leaves-they are always available at the grocery store or my backyard (NEVER used pesticides in 13 years
) and sometimes a nasturtium flower, clover flower or a zucchini or squash blossom when there's one in the garden. a little chopped cucumber. i'd even eat that salad! but nope-nothing but crickets and wax worms for these carnivorous beasties. Tofu was so little and wouldn't even eat crickets so I would hand feed him wax worms every day. I know they are like french fries but he loved them and he finally was eating something so I just went with it. And he's growing so I am not going to worry. And oh you will get a kick out of this: every day I give them both water from a dropper-they drink it like little babies, drop by drop, lapping it up. really really cute!
