Just a random thought

So I got the liquid calcium in the mail today, it smells horrible but I did take a bit on my finger and tried it, and it tastes kinda fruity. I'm not saying it was delicious, but if I had to take it I could put up with it!
So I gave Howie .2 cc's (which doesn't even seem like she's getting anything at all) because she's about 250 grams.
And I think I'm going to start out doing it every day (because she does have MBD) and I'll go from there, keeping an eye on the urates.
Thanks for letting me know about this stuff, I sure hope it helps her!!

I hope it helps too! Indeed, if she has MBD, this will help alot! I'm interested to see if she likes it as much as Izzy does. He loves the stuff!

P.S. I see you are starting to get used to calling her a "she". Haha

Great! I'm so glad! I can't wait to see how she will be after being on the calcium for a while! How long do you think it will take until I start noticing changes?

lol, I am getting sort of used to it, although when I'm actually talking to someone about her I say him, but it's easier on the computer because I can catch myself and retype it :wink:

I have no idea how long it should take to see noticeable changes as far as the MBD goes. Mine was very healthy, no MBD or anything, he just started refusing anything that had calcium dust on it. So I had to get calcium in him somehow and thought to try the liquid. But it was probably around the 3rd dose I began to see more alertness, activity, and better appetite. I think he's eating better because his superworms no longer have the dust on them. I'm sure he began not liking the dust a long time ago, because for the past 2 months he was not eating well and it took me awhile to figure out it was the dust he didn't like. Now he is getting so fat, I am going to have to start watching his weight!
