Just a quick taming question

I was wondering, sometimes when I hold my 6 month old dragon Rosie, she stays calm in my hand for awhile and then just wants to run. I feel she trusts me, but I don't trust her. Just in case she wants to jump. Because sometimes I feel she does. Should I try and hold her more and force her to stay in my hand or where I put her? Or should I just let her do her thing? If she starts squirming just put her on the ground? I love for her to explore, don't get me wrong. But I want to tame her. I just don't want her thinking it is okay to take off on me and stuff. Thanks!

I find that they need to get a little running and exploring out of their system before they want to sit with me for an extended period of time. I find that if I ever tried to insist they stayed with me they just got cranky and wanted to run more. If you are afraid your little girl might get into something you wouldn't want her getting into get yourself a little lizard leash! I have one for mine and it gives me peace of mine, especially outside. I hope that helps :D

Thanks so much. I honestly don't mind her running around my room and what not. I just didn't know what the right thing was to do. She is really calm most of the time. Just sometimes it is hard to tell what she wants haha. But I am going to get a leash for when I go out of the house :p

I think they are just so excited to be out of their tanks that they want to run up to and lick everything haha. I know mine will stop at nothing to get to the sofa and climb up to the top to see out the window. I let him to that for 20 minutes or so and they he will happily sit with me :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
