Jace, Zy, Sorin, Ava, Nissa, Koth, & Phoenix -->Vet Update

Hello,
My name is Liz and I have been a member of this website for a year now. I have had another blog about my reptilian babies (http://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=185026), but am starting a new one. I want to start the new year with a clean slate - especially since it will also start with a new moon. I want to move on from the problems of the past and look forward to the new adventures that lie ahead.
A little about me: I'm twenty-two years old and am an author - (A Shadow's Lullaby by: E. Rexer). I go to Western New England as a Creative Writing major with a minor in Philosophy. I own six reptiles, three bearded dragons and three leopard geckos. I have been with my boyfriend, Paul, for four years. I currently work two jobs - Heritage Woods (assistant living) and Table and Vine (liquor store) though I did try to quit Heritage Woods and was guilt tripped into working there per diem (once a month). I will be putting in my two weeks notice with them in February. Unfortunately it is a sad job and emotionally I cannot handle it anymore. Table and Vine doesn't give me the hours I would like, but I worked out a deal with my grandfather that will help me out financially. Now enough about me.

So I moved Jace into my living room as it was mentioned that a URI can be contagious. I feel so bad - his viv is in the corner covered with a blanket (not completely, I left room for air to flow) to block out the light since he's in my living room and so it looks like he's in time out. I feel so bad. I turned on his CHE since he needs slightly higher temps. I know it hasn't been confirmed by the vet that it's URI, but I want to be as prepared as possible. The little things can make a difference. He has an appointment tomorrow at 8am. I'm also supposed to get Sorin's results tomorrow before 1pm.

Why do they seem to all want to be sick together? Seriously, I don't have enough cash for all of you to do this at once.

I feel the same way, I'm just glad I don't have alot of bills, no debt and back to working full-time. I tell you, I have no idea how they all got parasites, Leo, especially, is never out of his tank! So give us all good news tomorrow, k?

I was unaware that a URI was contagious, too. I might move Maisy to the living room.
We'll be waiting on the vet's reports tomorrow. Hang in there!

Jace:
So Jace does have URI. She's sending me home with antibiotics. She's also sending me home with novacin (spelling?) for the gingivitis he's developing. If the antibiotics don't work she's going to have to do x-rays and a flushing of the trachea.

Sorin:
So Sorin's blood test came back negative as I expected it would. She wants to run a blood panel that will cost about $250 and change, but I think we should hold off until after Jace is taken care of and just keep an eye on Sorin for now.

For their mouths, I use Nolvadent, I always have some on hand because I know what to look for. You just rub it on their gums with a qtip, they actually like it, it tastes of peppermint.
