Hello,
My name is Liz and I have been a member of this website for a year now. I have had another blog about my reptilian babies (http://www.beardeddragon.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=185026), but am starting a new one. I want to start the new year with a clean slate - especially since it will also start with a new moon. I want to move on from the problems of the past and look forward to the new adventures that lie ahead.
A little about me: I'm twenty-two years old and am an author - (A Shadow's Lullaby by: E. Rexer). I go to Western New England as a Creative Writing major with a minor in Philosophy. I own six reptiles, three bearded dragons and three leopard geckos. I have been with my boyfriend, Paul, for four years. I currently work two jobs - Heritage Woods (assistant living) and Table and Vine (liquor store) though I did try to quit Heritage Woods and was guilt tripped into working there per diem (once a month). I will be putting in my two weeks notice with them in February. Unfortunately it is a sad job and emotionally I cannot handle it anymore. Table and Vine doesn't give me the hours I would like, but I worked out a deal with my grandfather that will help me out financially. Now enough about me.

The first thing I think of is a respiratory infection, but then again, it might not be that & I'd hate to have any more financial issues sent your way. Does your trust become yours at some point? Or do you always have to ask your grandfather to trf funds for you? Pick Jace up & put your ear on his chest to see if you can hear a whooshing sound; also make a video of him making that sound, if you can catch it, and post it here & ask Tracie to check him out. I'm not sure what meds he would have to take if it's an RI as I've never had to deal with that. Just about everything else, but not that.

Ava:
She's doing well. Her walk is still special, but it doesn't seem that it will ever get much better. Even with the special calc and vit supplements we bought for her. She has started to gain weight. She's been eating about 2-3 wax worms a week. Eventually, when I finally get money, I'd like to get her on phoenix worms. Until then, wax worms work and help add to her weight a little.

Nissa:
She's fantastic. She's a good eater. Nothing much to say about her since she's a good girl.

Phoenix:
I just love this little guy. He's such a fantastic little man. Despite everything he went through, he's survived. The last photo will be a link to Pheeny walking. I think his walk is adorable and it is something everyone needs to see.

Me:
My antidepressants dosage got upped because the originally amount wasn't working. The first time on the new prescription I got sick and then since then I have been more tired than usual. I'm still on and off not feeling well and feeling well. Paul is working 3:30pm-2am today and tomorrow so it really sucks not being able to see him tonight and tomorrow night, but I'll have to plow through. He needs the extra hours to make up for taking my birthday off. He also called out last Saturday because he wasn't feeling well. That's all for now.

It sure is good to see the pics of Ava, Nissa, Koth & Phoenix, beautiful. The leos sure love the hides that Holly sent you, I remember when she was making them. Glad to see they love them just as much as when you got them. I especially loved the pic of Nissa with her eye peeking out of her hide. And Ava underneath hers. Koth sure is a beautiful man, I can tell he loves to be out. And those pics of Phoneix peeking out of his tank are so cute! I can tell they're all well taken care of and so are your beardies!

Deb:
Thanks! It took Ava forever to learn that she could use the hide Holly made her. Almost a whole year. Nissa adores all the hides and uses them equally, almost. I love her peek-a-boo pictures. She does it so often, and yet I never get enough of it. Phoenix is also a pro at playing peek-a-boo. I just wish he did it more often instead of hiding almost 24/7. He's such a silly boy. Koth is very handsome, we were lucky he chose us. He also LOVES attention. Much more than Nissa and Ava do, that's for sure.

So I have good news - my grandfather agreed to transfer the remaining money that I need for Sorin's vet appointment to my account. So Sorin will be getting the tests he needs - one for gout and the other is a blood panel. I am so relieved and thankful. I'm so thankful to everyone who donated and to everyone who kelts us in their thoughts. His appointment is Thursday at 2:20pm so I'll let you know how it goes!

So here's the delayed update: Between GoFundMe and my grandfather, I recieved $510. Today at the vet's office, she could only do the $170 test on Sorin when she orginally was going to do that and a $280 one as well. So woo, I saved some money. Sorin's results should be in sometime tomorrow before 1pm. Now onto the bad: looks like Jace has URI so I had to make an appointment for him tomorrow at 8am. All I can say is that I'm glad Sorin didn't get both tests done or else I'd be in big trouble financially. That's all for now. Will keep you posted.

Is your grandfather going to release more funds for the rest of Sorin's tests? Hopefully this first one gives you some good news about him. And good luck with Jace. Hopefully, if it is a URI, he clears up with one treatment.

I'm treating Gabriel, Leo and Puff on Panacur, they have low level parasites, plus Didi is into the vet tomorrow am for surgery to get what I think is a large wart out of his side, just under his left armpit. So looks like we're both having some issues with our dragons. But I'm sure all will be well, I have to think positive or I break down about Didi. My vet is doing a biopsy, too, just to make sure what the heck this thing is.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
