So I just moved my beard to a new 40 gallon tank and upgraded all his lights and decorations. I was wondering if this setup is good. Please give me feedback.
The basking bulb is a good one but the UVB is no where near what he needs (in his condition).
You need to get a Reptisun 10.0 T5HO or an Arcadia 12%D3 for maximum UVB . These are the long tube type that run across the top of the viv. The coil compact you have is only a 5.0 and is inadequate for your dragon at any time.
Hello and welcome to the forum---- You will want to upgrade again to a bigger tank --- recommended is a 75-120 gallon for an adult dragon--- the coil UVB light is no good-- you will want to go w/ a Reptisun 10 T5, or the Arcadia D3 12% or 14% T5 tube, both of which are very good. You will need a T5 light fixture also. They are what most everyone on here recommends! It will need to go inside the tank for best health for your dragon - 10-11" from him/ her! As long as his / her basking temps are 90-105 the basking lamp should be fine- if you dont have a Infrared Heat gun you might want to get one - from Walmart or Home Depot or Lowes for around $10 or so-- they give the most accurate temps -- also when you go to a bigger tank you might want to find one w/ doors that open from the front for easier cleaning etc............ you can find some tanks on Facebook Market watch or Craigslist --- but you will definitely want to get something bigger. Just some suggestions--

Ok just remember to get the Reptisun or Arcadia which ever --- they are the ones that are the best- and it needs to go inside the tank - you can use picture wire hanger or fishing line or 3 M hooks

yup, everyone on here has a love for these little creatures and, we all are 0wners/"slaves" to at least 1 dragon if not more. Here is Charlies Condo!!!
The one to far left is basking- the one in middle is a CHE- heat emitter no light only on during winter months I live in MN and its been really cold and ton of snow- the far right is a regular House hold bulb for light -

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
