Usually beardies cant see standing water, what i do is ill give my beardies a
bath two to three times a week in warm water thats not too deep. And then during the week ill drip water onto their nose and they'll lick that off or i mist them and they may drink from the droplets.
Only problem i see so far with your setup is the lighting and how your monitoring the temperatures. I'd get a reptisun t5 ho 10.0 tube light for him as the coil/compact ones are probably the worst, i believe the compact ones can be used if you know what your doing but the coil ones will make them go blind.
I'd get one off amazon, as soon as possible. And get a digital temperature gauge with a probe so you can see the surface temperature and not the air temperature. If its 105 or so where the stick on one you have (which i have no idea if those things even work), then its most likely way too hot for him on the basking spot. Usually 95-1005 is where they like it and then the cool side around 70-85.
