thanks for your help, but what i really need is info about getting a permit and the dragon going thru customs and stuff. i called the dept of agriculture and wildlife here in florida, but no one's returned my call as of yet. just thought if anyone out there has done this they could lead me in the right direction. thanks again.

Hello Dawn in FL(HeHe...I am also a Dawn in FL) :D

Can I ask why you would want to have a beardie shipped from the UK?

I could be wrong, but don't animals that go overseas have to be quarantined when they arrive?

well hello other dawn in florida, lol, would it be dawn marie? where in fl are you? i see we are close in age also.
well to answer your question,( i know i am probably going to get different feedback and opinions on this one) i was looking for a silkback bearded dragon and i found a site called kkchameleons who breeds them, and it's in the UK. haven't found any locally, wish i could because i have a feeling i'm going to have to go thru alot of red tape to get this bearded dragon. as far as being quarantined, i don't know, that's why i was wondering if any one out there has shipped from out of the country. i have to find out if i need a permit, if customs is involved ,etc. i called the department of agiculture and wildlife in miami, but they haven't returned my call as of yet.

Hello,
I am pretty sure that you will need to get a import license as there are import regulations but I am not sure of them. They are not on the CITES list since they are not endangered. There are import fees though. You are contacting the correct department, the wildlife department.

Hello again Dawn! No, my middle name is not Marie, but it is my sister's middle name! I am in Gulf Breeze, right outside of Pensacola. Yes, we are close in age also. LOL...I will be your age in another two months

Whatever you decide to do on getting the silkback I hope it works out for you. There was someone on here that breeds silkback and leatherbacks. I know they have some leatherbacks, not sure on the silkbacks. I will try to find them and let you know!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
