I Currently have (2) drgaons oldest is 3 and yougest is 1-1/2 and have been feedign them super worms and greens for the most part. i have started to breed my own feeders (superworms) and its going good. I will soon be starting on silkies.
i plan on getting another dragon a baby and wanted to know how soon they eat small silkies? i will breed crix if it is a must but would prefer not!!!

Silkworms have no hard exoskeleton so the rule of thumb feeders no bigger than the space between their eyes does not apply here. soft bodied worms such as phoenix hornworms or silkworms are all good in moderate size to feed at any age. other soft bodied worms like waxworms and butterworms are higher in fat and should only be fed as a snack.
