My juvies go a little while after every time I feed them which is twice a day. They have a fast metabolism and eat and poop a lot. The bigger ones usually go around 1 time a day but sometimes they skip a day and other times they will go twice in a day (and you can tell when they skip a day cause its a lot more than normal) eek, scary stuff!

It really depends on your baby and what is normal for him/her. At least once or twice, three times on occasion. Seems like they bask, eat, bask, poop, bask, eat, bask, poop, and so on. Remember to make sure they can bask for at least 2 hours after you feed them at night too.

Redrock only pooped once a day when she was a juvie. Speedy, on the other hand, used to poop at least 2 times a day. Zoom Zoom only poops once a day, even tho we feed her twice a day, used to be 3 times a day until it got colder and she didn't want to eat earler than 11am to 1 pm for the first time.

I hope this helps you some.

hello there.

our beardie spike is 7 months old and since he was 4 months old wghen we got him he has pooped every day. there was the one time he didnt go for a couple days but thats only because he does not like to go in his enclosure.... he waits til my bf brings him out and then poops... or he waits til he is in the bath... so they should poo atleast once a day... if they dont give them a bath for no longer than 20 mins.... spike likes his bath water temps around 99f

Hi, don't know if i should ask this question here, but my beardie is on desert sand and although i scoop it what exactly does poop look like, i'm not sure if it is the brown little clumps i am picking up or not. He is about 1 1/2 and not really enjoying baths that much yet. Sorry for the silly question but i'm real new at this.

You may ask a question anywhere you like, welcome to the poop thread. It's probably hard to tell what it looks like if sand is stuck to it but it should have some kind of form to it. Normal poo for an adult beardie is about the size of my pinky finger and can range from 1 to three little logs. The first part that comes out is the urates which are white or almost white in color and gooey to firm or sometimes hard. The poo itself should be well formed, usually a dark green color (depending on diet) and should not contain any undigested insects. Very loose or runny poo can be a sign of parasites although well hydrated beardies may have clear fluid in combination with their poo. Most of us here live by our beardies poo, once you get used to the normal stuff, any variation can be a sign of something going on.

Hi, what a fun topic to talk about  i do see white on his log but not much the size of my pinkie, we are going to try a bath again today and see if he likes it any better. I am just nervous trying to catch him when he starts throwing his tantrum, don't want to hurt him. Boy he can be a time consuming beardie. He looks good and loves his crickets so hopefully he is healthy. Thank you for the info

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
