i have a arcadia 12% for uvb normal house light for heat 111 -112 in basking 85 in cool (thermometer with probe), use tiles, has a hide. i put like 10 crickets in every morning but by lunch time he only eats like 3 or 4.. so i have to take them out. i know you're not meant to keep them in there that long, but i don't want him to starve. He also gets greens all the time. oh and the uvb is like 8 inchs away. cant think of anything else =/. But yeah i have got no idea what more i can do. !?!?!?!?!?!?

hi
sorry your baby's not eating.
Try different things in the salad try some yellow squash, a little red bell pepper, cactus pear and see if the color will attract.
Also go to the www.beautfuldragons.com website and look at the nutrition page it will give you some more ideas of things to try in your salads.
As for the crix are they small enough? Maybe try some different feeders. have you tried (don't know if you can get these there) butterworms, phoenix
worms, waxworms or hornworms. Maybe just trying something different will spark some interest.
Good luck and let us know.

I would try feeding your baby outside of his tank instead of dropping the crickets in there and have a set time in the AM and the PM for him to eat.

I put mine in a big plastic bin with a towel on the bottom and drop 2-3 crickets in at a time so he doesn't get overwhelmed or intimidated by them. When I first got him, I put him in the bin with no towel and 20 crickets and all he wanted to do was get out. Once I put a towel under his feet (which gave him traction off the plastic) and backed off from hailing crickets all over the place he got the hang of it and started mowing them down. He's almost 5 mos old now and eats 30-40 crickets in the AM and same in the PM. I am also feeding him smaller crickets, as the bigger ones seem to freak him out too, plus I think it's better on his tummy going in when they are smaller (3/8" size).

good luck with your baby!

You can try taking out your beardie's furniture when it's feeding time. I used to do that with mine when he was a baby because he wouldn't eat. Once he had a big open area, he ate like a fat little pig.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
