How many times to bathe my beardie

I had my baby bearide for about a week now and I was wondering how many times should I bathe her? I bathed her on Wednesday (2/18) she's about 2 months old. I also mist her about 2 times a day.

So first off, no misting. She should get a bath at least every other day, but for babies I like to give them baths every day as they dehydrate quickly under the hot basking lights. Misting can cause upper respiratory infections as they don't absorb much through their skin. They mainly absorb water thru their vent so 15-20 min warm water baths give them all the hydration they need. Plus they get water from their bugs and greens, too.

I'm glad to hear it, first beardies are a knowledge in action. You're going to learn alot! I have 5 dragons, I rescue & have been doing that for 8 years now. I've learned so much from the people on this site, plus my vet; it's been an ongoing adventure with my crew. You should also read the care sheet on here, it's great! I helped edit it with alot of help and we think it's very good. Lots of good ideas in there, too. The articles on this site are awesome!

If you dibble water on the dragon's snout or lightly spray the head and they lick it up, it is a good way to offer fluids. You don't need to wet the body or the cage, but some dragons like to drinks this way. You want to avoid raising the humidity in the enclosure too high (over 50-60%), but many of us are struggling with low humidity this time of year anyway.

I have been giving her water that way on her nose. I will continue doing it that way for now on.

That's how I give mine water, too, outside of their baths. It's a good way to make sure they get the water they need in between soaks.
