Thanks for that. Seems my terri is just a mini thing at 10 months, bless her- she was the smallest in her hatch, wonder if this has an effect??!!

I'm not sure - I do know that is true with puppies - the runts are usually the smaller of the lot...

I'm beginning to think my lizard is overweight - she doesn't drag her belly on the ground or anything but geez, 330 grams at 16"?

Anyway, it would be great to get a monthly weigh in thread going where we could create our own growth charts (the only ones we have to look at seem to be what's on the beautiful dragon's website. And its so true, size is all over the map no matter what. You can never say that a 6 month beardie should be exactly 'x' size, but at least a real life growth chart of beardie.org dragons might be useful?

I am also keen on seeing a growth ch

art with the beardies on the forums weight and lengths and ages. Maybe one of the IT guys would be able to design a database where each member can enter their statistics.

Both our dragons have much shorter tails than most of the beardies on the site, so I propose keeping the length nose to vent. There are also quite a number with tail nips.

That said, Angie's stats today are:
Approximately 10 months
Probably female
Length (nose to tip of tail) 15.7"
Weight 400g

Flippie's stats today:
Approximately 7 months
Probably male
Length (nose to tip of tail) 13"
Weight 250g

I have two Beardies both from the same store, though I've had one longer then the other.
Ozzy I've had about a month, shes about 7 months old and 8 inches. When I bought her she was 6 inches.
And Biffy who I've had for just about 24 hours now is also about 7 months according to the pet store.
hes 3-4 inches long.

Thanks Cat - that makes me feel a little better about my little chubby lizard...
I've seen so many skinny beardies (makes me so sad) and have always tried to keep any animals I own at a healthy weight (not obese). This is my first beardie so I'm not sure what an obese beardie would actually look like versus a healthy weight. I sure know what a too skinny beardie looks like, poor things.

Hey just a tip I think a better way of doing this would be to put:

November 30th, 2010 ~12 months 12 inches
December 15th, 2010 ~12.5 months 12.5 inches
December 30th, 2010 ~13 months 12.75 inches
January 4th, 2011 ~13 months 13.5 inches
January 9th, 2011 ~13.5 months 13.75 inches
January 18th, 2011 ~14 months 14 inches
January 31st, 2011 ~14.5 months 14.5 inches

Then instead of creating a whole new post just "edit" your post and update it. Hope this one catches on. That'd be great!

I thought she was way under length. She is round, healthy and gorgeous.
