House Gecko?

ive been looking at house geckos for a whjile now but i cannoit find out if theyre nice or mean?anyone know about them?

House geckos lean on the nicer side but of course some can be mean just like any animal(as long as you respect the animal you won't have problems). The thing about house geckos is that they are FAST and they can climb just about ANYTHING.

They need HIGH humidity(50-70%) and they NEED UV lighting, just like anoles. A red infrared bulb for nighttime heat(and visibility ) is a great idea, along with a UV light going on 12 hours during the day. Temps during the day should be 78-85, and a 5-10 degree drop at night is perfect.

If you want a new pet you should be looking at proper care and husbandry rather than temperament. But remember that they are tiny and FAST.

so they need heat lamps? i didnt think they did. are they tropical or sub-tropical?

They need heat, not necessarily heat lamps I guess. a red infrared bulb is good for nighttime heat for any gecko seeing as how they can't see the red light.

10 gallon is fine for a house gecko. They don't get big at all. A 10gal for a regular green anole is perfect too. As long as you can get the right UV and humidity requirements to work it's all good.

ok thank you but i need to know if they are tropical because i have a green anole and she is in a 1o gallon tropical and i need to know if thatll work
