Help needed

As some of you may already know Friday night I had to put Gizmo to sleep. He developed a very aggressive cancer and the chances of him surviving were slim. Gizmo was also my class pet. For the past week I kept him home knowing that there was something wrong. Any way everyday my class would asjk about him, well today I had to tell them and needless to say they were very upset. I would like to get another one but my classroom funds are low. When I talked to my class about getting another one they all wanted to get one that was smaller then Gizmo. I live and work in New Jersey and was wondering is anyone out ther could help us get over this terrible loss??

So sorry to hear about Gizmo. My condolences to you and your class.

Check out the Free section on the board here. There was one listed in Delaware which isn't too terribly far from you. You might also be able to use the rescue train. Check Craigslist too as there are almost always beardies on there.

I'm wondering too if a breeder donated one to you as a classroom pet if there could be a tax write-off possibility for them. Just a thought, I don't really know about that sort of thing but the idea did cross my mind. I guess it couldn't hurt to ask.

Michele, I am sorry to hear about your loss!! I do have a beardie born 7-14-09 that I would be willing to donate but he needs to be worked with!! He is MR. grouch!! Pm me if your interested!!! Keep your head up!!
