Yep =). My guys have all been pretty grumpy in the morning too. Darwin will puff his beard out like that sometimes and I'll just pet it and tell him he doesn't need the grumpy beard here and then give him some breakfast.
That's funny
Right after he did the puffing up beard he starting running around his cage so he was hunting for food so i gave him crickets although one of them was a bit bigger he was managed to get down, so he has cricket legs sticking out of his mouth. He seems to be okay though. I am not even sure if he was having issues getting cricket down or not. What would be some signs if he was having issues? Finally finished off the crickets and now give him some dubias and BSFL (he loves them with a passion) its soo cute because ill use my short tongs to feed him and he loves them so much he tries to eat the tongs
When they have trouble swallowing something they'll puff their beard and open/close their mouth and flick their tongue a bit. Sometimes food gets stuck under their tongue or in their beard but they are generally pretty good about working it out.
