Grasshoppers

Anybody have any feedback on feeding these to Beardies? Cant find if they are safe on the beautiful dragon list.

Hi guys, Did my own homework - the information comes from my beardie reference book and is published by a herp society. Ill come bck to edit the post and enter the name.

Grasshoppers are safe for Beardies. Obviously you should use caution with wild caught one due to possibility of pesticides. Store bought (Flukers*) are safe. They are sort of like giant crickets and should be fed in moderation.

never feed them anything you find outside or inside you never know what is on them or if they have anything

We buy Hoppers for our beardie and he has them everyday, he won't touch crickets anymore, and we find these are better because they don't hide in his viv unlike crickets.

Are the hoppers you buy large? The ones I bought were in a can (sorta gross) :lol: Although the size was perfect for him. they were like maybe 2 crickets long.

Yeah they are large ones, we order them online and they come in a bag then we just pop them in a tub and pick some out each day. I love watching the hoppers too, they are interesting insects haha.
