I just don't understand what could be wrong with him. He was eating fine and his setup is right. This didn't happen until he shed. He just got sick overnight!

Hang in there, I would get him to a vet ASAP and like someone said Pedialyte baths. They steal your heart so quickly. I'm rooting for you both :(

In a perfect world, I'll wake up to Sammy happy and healthy wanting his breakfast. But right now he's wrapped in his blanky on his hammock with stress marks all on his neck and belly :(

Thank you. Today has been really hard on me. I love this lil guy. If he's not better in the morning, I will cancel all my appointments and get him to the vet asap.

Hello,

He definitely needs some hydration in him quickly. If you do take him to a vet I would request subcutaneous fluids to help get some into him quickly.
Please let us know how he is doing.

Sammy has a vet appointment at 10:30 today. I'm having to miss getting my gas turned on at my new office and cancelling 2 appointments. That's just how my life is though. Sammy won't open his eyes hardly at all but he is sitting with his nose pointed to the sky. I've mastered getting him to open his mouth and he's had quite a bit of Pedialyte. I'll keep everyone posted.

I am so glad he has an appointment today, even though it means a total life-rearranging day for you. I know how that is and try to explain THAT to someone who thinks they are 'just lizards.' They deserve care, too. It's good to hear you were able to get him some Pedialyte, too. I am sure that helps him feel so much better. GOOD LUCK today.

Thanks. I've been telling everyone that I have a sick animal that needs to get to the vet asap. I haven't said the words bearded dragon or lizard for that very reason. I have a box ready for Sammy's trip to the vet. The closest exotic vet is 30 minutes away. I have heat pads that you use for menstrual cramps on the bottom of the box and I'll put a towel over those. I have a sample of poo in the fridge. It actually just looks like a blob of the chicken baby food that I gave him yesterday. I really hope he gets better. I want him to get big and strong so he can live in the new viv I've been slaving away building for him.

I feel for you, and I hope he gets better, too. People here at work made fun of a lady that called in sick to take her DOG to the vet, and everyone loves dogs, right? I will never, ever be able to say anything about a sick lizard here, I can already tell. It's sad how we have to make a stupid JOB more important that someone's life. Well, I better get off my soapbox!

Sounds like you have what you need to travel with him and I hope the appointment goes well. You are so lucky to have an exotic vet so close to you. That's awesome.

I'm at the vet now. The vet said she's baffled because my setup is perfect and he was fine up until yesterday. They're doing the fecal. I'l update when I know more.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
