What are good woods to use for building a cage? And what are the bad types? And if you "seal" it, could you use any type of wood as long as it's sealed? And what do you seal wood with anyway?

Someone will correct me if I am wrong but any wood that is 100% sealed should be fine. I've used wood with snakes and they were fine. But I used all natural wood sealer. No colors or stains.

Most plywood will be kiln dried, so the harmful resins are generally not present. However, if you want to be extra safe, just seal it with a normal polyacrylic or polyurethane. That will ensure that it lasts longer anyway as it will keep any moisture out, as well as most smells (it can get pretty rank with dragons sometimes ;) ) Just make sure you let the sealant off gas for quite awhile (it can take a few weeks with polyurethane)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
