Does anyone have any credible and reliable places they order bugs from? Primarily crickets at the moment...
I ordered from Georgiacrickets.com since I live 2 hours from their location (they are a branch of Premiumcrickets.com or something) and out of the 500 crickets ordered there were maybe 10 that were alive when they arrived. At the moment it gets to about 45 degrees at night and goes up to 75 during the day so temperature isn't a huge issue. The box they were shipped in was rather small, crushed and you could see crickets were compressed on the OUTSIDE of the box and dead. I called them for a replacement order and have to pay $5 for them to ship another 500 crickets that I'm thinking will probably arrive dead despite overnight priority shipping and they are less than 2 hours from where I live.
Has anyone had issues with them or know any other good place to order crickets from? They all have the "Live Guarantee" crap, but when you actually read their policies it's a bunch of horse-squeeze and you have to pay them for screwing up your order. Not to mention that it's about to be winter and it remains between 5 and 40 degrees for ~4-5 months so I might actually drive out and pick up a huge supply of them or start breeding something...
