The title pretty much says it all. Our names are Brian & Kelle and we just brought home our first Bearded Dragon yesterday afternoon. Her name is Xena, hence the screen name we chose.
Xena is not a baby, but rather is almost 1 year old now according to her previous owner, who has 3 other Bearded Dragons. Xena is a fiesty Dragon though who is extremely squirmy and active.
We are used to Iguanas and geckos, currently owning two of the Iggys and one Leopard Gecko. We had always wanted a Bearded Dragon though and when we went to the pet shop yesterday to get crickets for the gecko, we saw the add for the free Bearded Dragon. I called the number and an hour later we were bringing her home with us. Today I am making a cage for her and will hopefully have that done by early this afternoon so she can get out of the small aquarium we have her in temporarily and into her new condo.
We don't have pics of this new addition to our family yet, but we should ebfore the day is out. Any ideas, hints, suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated and welcome. We will be surfing this site extensively learning about these fun lizards and we look forward to meeting and making new friends here as well. Who knows, deneding on how this goes, we may just add a couple more Dragons to our collection later on down the road.
Later,
Bri & Kell
