"Goliath" worms barely growing.

I purchased a little container of hornworms a week ago today (it includes a climbing grid and food/hydration source). The retailer told me they would be "huge" in about 3-5 days. I have been keeping them in the garage because it stays pretty warm in there. Well...so far the growth has been minimal. I mean, I can see that they are larger but it's been longer than 5 days and they're nowhere near large enough to feed to my beardie :? There have been very few deaths, maybe 1 or 2 hatchlings. They're just not growing very fast. Do I need to be more patient or am I doing something wrong?

Be patient. I think some just grow faster than others. It could also be TOO warm in the garage as well and could end up killing them.

Some I had grew EXTREMELY fast and others took longer. I had some that grew to be easily 3" in 5 days. Make sure you have enough food, not too hot, they get enough ventilation and you should be fine.

I keep mine in the window sill in my Bearded Dragon Room in my house. You could also keep them next to the nasking light on top of the cage as well. I have never had any die from Overheating, they are tropical bugs, and need high humidity & heat in order to thrive. Be patient, I have had mine reach 5'' and 1'' fat around in 10days.
