Can anyone post a weight/length chart for baby beardies and an approximate age?

Our little guy is 6" and 11 grams... I think he's about 8 weeks old but could be wrong...

I know it will vary per dragon but would like some general ideas.

Thanks,
Sean

my 8 week old hatchlings are 10" 60 grams
at that length and weight id say your beardie is 5-6 weeks tops

Its really important to remember that dragons length and weight does NOT determine the age of the dragon. For instance you have 8week old babies that are 10"(which in my opinion is abnormally large for a baby?) my little rescue is 7-9months and is 10" and only 41g my 2-3 year old is 15.5" and 294g but thats the size of your typical 6month old... diet care ect is VERY important when giving size charts.

If your asking if your dragons where it should be look at these charts

http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Growth.html

Its a pretty good charts, but bear in mind that every dragons going to be different...

for 8 weeks a healthy size could be from 6-10" DEPENDING solely on what you feed for instance meal worms= very low nutrition vs. Silkworms=high nutritional value ect... , how often, wether your temps are spot on, how often you provide calcium and vite supplements, if you have the correct UVB bulb, if your feeding the right types of greens, even the size of the enclosure can have some affect on how your dragon grows(although thats a debatable point)

even at 6" I would say that your dragons on the small side, specifically weight wise, 11g is very small... If you want to provide some of the basic care information there are lots of us here would would have no problems looking it over to see if there is something that could be changed or improved upon :) feel free to pm me...

the weight is the reason i said 5-6 weeks
and there are quite a few breeders that have animals that top 10-12 inches within the first 8-10 weeks. it all depends on hatchling care. from the moment these guys started eating (took 4 days from hatch to first meal) they have been fed on a variety of crix, nymph dubia, and nymph turkestan roaches. very high nutrient diet as well as they are under mercury vapor lighting and are given top of the line calcium and vits.
and my adult male was 21.5 inches and 500 grams at 7 months old
its all on how you feed em and how you care for em.

Your poopers are a great example of how High nutrient diet = high growth... as well as having all of those other conditions correct

my little one is a great example of how the opposite is true... Low nutrient diet= low growth...I must state that she has grown 2" since I got her on August 16, a little over a month ago :-D

High nutrient diet = high growth

Why do people think that growing a dragon super fast is healthy? or judge how well a dragon is cared for by the size? Advice like that caused me to kill my first dragon when I though I HAD to have a big dragon. Getting him to 22" in 6 months was more then his body could take, he got diseased and had to be euthinised a 2 years old.
A smaller dragon or one that grows slower is just as healthy, if not healthier then the fatty monsters people think they need to have.

that is your opinion. Genetics have a huge part to play on how much a dragon grows. And dragons arent like snakes you cant "power feed" them to force growth. but you can give them optimum nutrition to allow them to grow to their full potential.

and by the way your dragon getting sick with parasites and having to be put down has nothing to do with growing to adult size quickly. now if you continued feeding him high protein/high fat meals throughout his adult life and didnt slack it off and start switching to greens than that could have shut his systems down. but his growth had not one thing to do with that. if a vet told you it did they didnt know what they were talking about.

Powerfeeding can be done to any species, maybe you should look into it before you start spewing off at the mouth.
Torque wasn't put down due to parasites, he had kidney disease which he developed at 6 months old from growing too fast. He got more protein then his body could handle, even providing him with a correct diet as adult couldn't reverse the damage that was done.
Dragons grow for up to 2 years, why not take your time and grow them slower? Why be in such a big hurry?

kidney failure is normally caused by over use of vitamin supplementation. unless you were feeding him pinkies everyday i sincerely doubt this was caused by a high nutrition diet. more than likely this was a genetic defect in that animal. maybe you should research some to cause you are obviously just being argumentative for arguments sake. if you have a problem with me or wish to continue this foolish conversation feel free to PM or email me but do not hijack this persons thread just because you do not happen to agree with that other 99% of people that keep agamids.

In defense of my earlier statement, I would like to point out in CONTEXT my statement holds true... His dragons feed well and a great diet have grown to larger sizes... AND I did not say that FAST growth was good, only that hight nutrition leads to high growth(NOT FAST), meaning dragons potential size.
you can give them optimum nutrition to allow them to grow to their full potential.
I agree

ANYWAY....

I think what we have learned here is that dragon growth depends solely on the care received from the owner and genetics....

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
