Freaking out! Or shedding?! Help!

Hey everyone. My bd out of nowhere started banging his head inside of his hide. He came out now but I'm worried. Could he just be trying to get loose shed off?

Actually, I don't think that was his head. It sounds like he was scratching with his other front "hand" - they often do that before bed time/for fun!

How recently did you get him? What are the temps like? He shouldn't be hiding in the middle of the day. The digging I wouldn't worry about - he probably saw the crack of light and decided to dig!

Edit: If he is just hiding or resting for a bit that's okay, but if he is napping for a long time in there, that is what he shouldn't be doing.

Well he came out and went back to normal basking! Basking temp is 104, he's 5 months, being fed Phoenix worms each day. I think he's ok now. Thank you for your help!
