feeding Hornwoom cocoons?

Some of my hornworms cocooned, is it still okay to feed my beardies with them?

I don't know. I do know that it might not be very nutritious. Once in the cocoon the caterpillar turns into mush. It basically dies. Then some parts of it are still good and it uses those to become a butterfly. So the butterfly doesn't remember it's life as a caterpillar. I think, since the caterpillar dies inside the cocoon it would be like feeding your beardie a dead caterpillar. At least that's my thought. I need to study them more, I guess I better by some hornworms and have fun with study. Hope this helps.

I think it would be fun to let it turn into a moth anyways....It is very interesting to watch the process happen .
The moth is pretty cute,and I think the beardie could eat the moth anyhow.I feed Nero some waxworms that had turned into waxmoths.He really enjoyed them !

Could anyone help answer my question about hornworms? How many do you feed a day to a young 7" dragon?
