holy cow that is impressive!!! What is the stuff called that you put on top of your styrofoam called? the bubbly-looking stuff - I forget. I tried to make structures out of just styrofoam and then grout and they just look so boring.

It looks to be Great Stuff...expanding foam insulation that you can purchase at home improvement stores or Walmart.

I have been building a basking platform with a cave for my beardie but i'm having trouble getting the sanded
grout to stick to it. Is there a trick to it?

i used two coats of non sanded grout first, that should help make it stick better

Well I had already put on a layer of sanded grout, so I didn't try it yet. I will with the next one I build.
