Your supplements are, most likely, not causing your crickets to die.
You say they come in boxes of 20 right?
Is there anything for them to climb on or hide in?
Are you providing a meal source ("gut-load", Flukker's, etc.)
Are you providing a moisture source (water crystals, Flukker's Cricket Quencher, etc.)?

These are only some of the things that might be causing them to die. The food and moisture sources being the most likely culprits.

Why are they in a box? Take some out then dust and feed. You can buy a cricket keeper cage and put them all in there, take out what you need and put the rest back.

Feeding the crickets calcium is one way to get some calcium into your bearadie, but will not provide enough.

Dusting will put more calcium on the cricket than feeding will put in the cricket.

Note: Feeding crickets too much calcium can actually be toxic to the cricket.

As for them dying after dusting, crickets breathe through tubes call spiracles in the sides of their abdomens. Each tube opens to the outside world looking like a pore and the tube runs from the pore almost to the center of the cricket's body. The calcium can be "inhaled" into the spiracles and suffocates the cricket.

In short, dust the crickets and dust only what you'll need because they'll just die.

I have a cricket "cage" type thing with two black tubes on the sides. I put a small amount of powder in a ziplock bag and put as many crickets as I think he will eat in there and do what I call, "shake and bake"... lol, but really, get a container to keep them in.

You NEED to get a plastic tote to keep your crix in...they can't survive in a box with the wet sponge+ food, which all spoils, and dusting them DEFINITELY kills them. Feed your crix a small amount of the same leafy greens that the lizards eat. Turnip, mustard, collard. These are very high in calcium. Don't forget that the dragons will get calcium from the greens as well. Set the crix up with egg-crating for them to crawl around on..keep the tote dry, feed them...and they will live!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
