Just started a dubia colony and was wondering if i need to have my heating pad turned on all the time. Right now its at 95F but i'm not sure if i leave it on 24/7 or not.
just don't go over 95 because Dubias will actually stop breeding if it's to hot. A colony will breed at 85 if need be. Just make sure it's dark warm and humid. and you shouldn't have a problem. you can make a hot spot of 90 and then have a cool side of 80 to 85 so they can regulate there body temperature. Humidity is important Roaches will molt and if they have trouble molting it causes stress. I mist my colony like twice a day I usually bump up the heat to about 90 at night cuz mine are in the garage and gets kind of chilly in the garage at night. during the day I have it about 85. They do fine with those temps. I also live in california so the weather is different I am sure where you are.
