um, maybe she doesn't like it?

you need a 10.0 tube light.

the 5.0 is for tropical, 10.0 is for desert. she isn't getting enough UVB, and the coil is bad for their eyes.

To test the boundaries. Our dragon jumps at his UVB and his Basking just to see if he can touch them, or because he's bored. After about 2-3minutes of him doing that, he relaxes back on his driftwood and ignores the world.

As Bunnyrut said, the UVB you're using is inadequate. Would be best to change it ASAP.

Per Zoomed 5.0 is not just for Tropical. It's also for small tanks that don't need the UVB to reach any farther than the 5.0 can throw it. Had that discussion with them. I know we aren't talking Zoomed brand but the output of the bulb has to do with distance the UVB can reach. Any bulb can be bad for their eyes. Bad bulbs = eye problems.

The bulb is insufficient anyway. OP said it is a Repti-GLO, not a Repti-SUN...The GLO bulbs are no good, doesn't matter the "output."

I wouldn't trust what the company says as far as I could throw them. They will say anything to a potential customer to get a sale off of whatever bulb they can. Why sell one Reptisun 10.0 bulb when you can sell 2 or more Reptisun 5.0 bulbs? Money is the first and foremost thing on a company's mind.

Whst about the arcadia 12 is that the best i dont use or like the coil thdy dont fit the hole tank.

The Arcadia D3+ Reptile Lamp T5 is a perfect light for desert reptiles like bearded dragons.

The T5 has a more intense light - three times stronger - than the T8. The high output offers 12% UVB and 30% UVA.

It produces naturally colours, but most importantly vitamin D3 which is essential for reptiles. In the wild reptiles synthesise their own D3 from the UV component of sunlight. D3 is essential for the metabolism of dietary calcium.

The reptile lamp should be positioned between 15 and 20cm above the reptile's head.

As well as being stronger than the T8, the T5 tube is also slimmer and only one tube is needed to give plenty of light.

We recommend using a T5 reflector so that all the light is focussed into the vivarium, rather than being wasted.
