Different genetic traits or morphs are located on different allele's. So if you have two different traits like translucent and hypo a lizard that is double het would be het for 1 gene like hypo and het for another 1 like translucent. Vs. a beardie that is just " het. " would only be carrying a single heterozygous gene. Which could be any recessive genetic trait. Currently i believe there are only three from beardies. Hypo, translucent, and recessive smoothie.

Het is a "non visual" carrier of a certain trait (hypo, trans. rec. leather) requiring a het or visual mate to produce some visual offspring.

Double hets are usually het for hypomelanism and translucent.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
