Do Superworms Spit?!?!

I just bought some supers from a local place and had a conversation with the misses behind the counter about superworm bites. Her friend came up and interrupted the conversation stating that she had never been bit by supers, but that she had been spit on by them, a lot. I'm sue that I didn't misunderstand. She continued to say that she had been previously spit on 20 times in one night!

I have been been dealing with supers for about six months and assume to know that this is an impossibility. Perhaps she was confused? Does anyone know of any superworm-like feeders that can spit?

I have to agree with a "squirt" especially if the are fresh shed and soft it's very easy to accidentally do that.

I get sprayed at when tiny eats them, pretty icky , locusts do the exact same...
