It was all slimy and goopy. My son was like, "I need to not be eating when you're working on Dino." Then, after I let her dry and had to put the SSD cream on her, he was eating again. Poor kid...Poor DINO! Oh, BTW, I "work on Dino"... :silent:

Wow! I just read your thread. I hope you get results from the biopsy soon so you can get Dino better! Looks like you have been doing an awesome job so far though! I'm glad Dino has a super mommy like you to care for him! Keep up the good work! I'm sending lots of positive thoughts your way

Sue I think her eye looks much better, it doesn't look raw anymore! Lol about your son....why is it that we moms/women in general have to deal with all the gross stuff and we don't even think twice about it.

Hi All, here's the latest:
I got Dino a new ramp thingie for her to perch on. I had an empty paper towel roll covered in a soft towel for her to climb up on. I took it out because I didn't want her stitches to snag on it and she IS NOT happy about it. She's so mopey. I had to keep lowering the position of it because it was holding so much heat. I think it's for turtles. I forget where I found it in the store. Anyway, I'm thinking of just putting her towel roll back in there tomorrow. She was under her other ramp thing at one point yesterday. I kept checking the temps and adjusting it and now I've got it at 101. The towel roll doesn't hold the heat like the ramp does. So, I dunno. I feel bad. She just puts her head down on it and looks sad. Her mouth is still gooey. While I was putting SSD on her tonight, she turned her head and the q-tip jabbed her mouth and it just made an indent on it. I really hope these friggin' results come in sooooon. I noticed another lesion starting near her vent. Just getting worse with every week that passes. HURRY UP LABS!!

I just wanna know what the hell it is so we can get her started on a course of meds to get it to STOP spreading and get RID OF IT! I'm confident that we'll find out what it is and how to treat it, I just want the results NAOW!!! Patiently waiting is not one of my strong suits.

Well, the histopathology results came back and she's definitely got Yellow Fungus. She also has bacterial growth showing on a skin sample. Treatment will be with antibiotic for the topical bacterial, and the fungal is a mix of meds. Not really sure what meds they are but she has to have a pharmacy mix it up...UGH. I will post more info as I understand it better...
