YAY! I'm glad you already had an appointment set up. I wish her eye was healed. Hopefully it will be soon. Does she like riding in the car? How do you transport her? I had Stone in a small storage tote with a towel on bottom and his hideaway thing too. When he was in that, he stayed low or inside the hideaway. When traffic would let me, I'd let him stay on my arm or chest and he was very curious and alert. He tried a couple times to get on the steering wheel and door window.

Yeah, the appointment was a total surprise to me! :laughing6: I guess I didn't put a reminder in my phone for that one! I'm gonna ask to get another tube of ointment called in and sent to me just in case things start progressing negatively. She doesn't seem to mind the ride. We take her up North all the time which is a 3.5 hour trek, so she's used to it. She usually just lays down and naps in her little pet carrier. It's a small one for a small cat or a ferret. I has mesh sides so she can see out. If it's a sunny day, she's a little more curious, looking around, climbing the mesh sides. It had a nice fluffy bottom piece velcro'd in there, but once she pooped on it, I took it out and just line it with paper towels now. More often than not, the ride stimulates her to go poop! :? I put 4 or 5 layers of paper towels in there so I can just take out the first couple if she ends up "going". I don't let her free roam in fear of an "accident". Yuk... don't need THAT in my truck on my leather seats, thankyouverymuch! Dino's poops are a lot bigger than little Stone's!

Yeah, that would be a mess, especially when driving. :puke: Stone seems to be regular, first thing in the morning. I hope that doesn't change. I have a hard sided cat carrier for my kitties. I was going to use it for his trip but felt uneasy about it. It's huge compared to him. I like your idea of the soft sided ones. A lady saw him at the vet and told me I needed to get him one of those doggy purses to carry him around in. I told her that I didn't think he'd stay small enough to bother with one of those. The boys liked the fact he was still with me when I got them from school. He might get regular rides just to do something different.

Awww, that's cute. My son always liked to find Dino in the truck waiting for him too! I know some people just let theirs have the run of the vehicle. I think for the most part they stay put on the lap or shoulder. I saw one girl post pics of hers sitting on the dashboard, soakin up the rays while she was driving! LOL!

I tote them back and forth in gym bags with shoe boxes inside and they're wrapped with their blankies. Alot of times, when it's warmer, I'll let one out to sit on the dash on a blankie with this thing underneath that prevents the blankie from moving. Gabriel is one I don't let out as he won't stay quiet, Rubio is the same. So Lonzo & Leo is allowed out & sometimes Didi.

It's nice that Dino is so used to being in the truck that she stays on you & quiet, as it's very distracting to have a dragon bouncing around in the car/truck when you're driving. I guess if I took them out more often, they'd be more used to the car, but at least they'll sleep in their bags on the trips to the vet, that's about the only time they're in the car.

Oh, no Deb, I don't let Dino free roam in the truck, she stays in her carrier. I was saying that I saw pictures that someone else posted with their beardie on the dash. I'm afraid of poopie accidents so I keep confined to her carrier!

Dino had her appointment today... Doc says she looks great! We ordered more chloramphenicol for her eye JUST IN CASE. It's a little watery. That's how the second eye started with it before. I'll have the medication on hand just in case I need to start the full regimen again, rather than wait until it's a full-blown bad infection! She thinks we'll be able to stop the voriconazole real soon. The lesion near her elbow is 3/4 of the way off!! I'm thinking one more refill and we will be done!! Yahooooo!! She's up 38 grams since her last visit, weighing in at 446! (She was in the 300's there for a while.) :blob5: Last February, she weighed 166 grams, I just went through her records! She's doing much, much better!!! Just keepin an eye on the eyes... I have put some ointment on them already, but sparingly and every other day because I only have a little left. I should have the new prescription by the beginning of next week. Hoping the watery eyes are nothing, but I'm really not much of a positive thinker when it comes to our little friend, here.  Do you blame me??

Wow, that's great that she's gained so much weight! You are just awesome, Sue, I've been following on Facebook, too and I'm just so thrilled that she's doing so well!

I'm so hesitant sometimes to get overly excited... :| I would wait another 6 months after she gets a clean bill of health to throw a party... JUST IN CASE!

I really can't say I blame you especially after everything the both of you have been through. That would give her time to have another shed too and be all kinds of pretty at her celebration.

Hmmm, eye is getting more watery. Glad we have the ointment ordered and on it's way. She goes back in for a recheck in a month. I just cleaned and sanitized her big tank and all the "furniture" last night too. Nope, not putting her back in there yet. She's still stuck in the condo for now. :'(

Well that's a drag, hope the ointment works this time. What about the honey, are you using that, too, right now?

No I haven't yet, but I was thinking about it last night. I might start with that first and see if it helps any. If it's not a serious problem like last time, it might do the trick. Today was the first day that she ate her breakfast BEFORE I left for work though! I haven't seen that in MONTHS! :blob5:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
