Dead Dubias?

Should I remove dead dubias from the colony? Some people say dead dubias benefit the colony while other sources say dead dubias can cause health issues. I need scientific proof or personal experience to help me out here. Thanks

In my experience I remove the obviously dead ones from the top of the frass but I don't go digging around for them. Having some of the dead bodies around doesn't seem to cause a problem overall that I've seen. I do go through and clean the tank/colony thoroughly once or twice per year to get rid of the buildup of frass but don't do much other than that. My colony has been doing well for about 2 years now.
