Here are some pictures of my first bearded dragon ever, he's about 10 months old and his name is Kugmo! He's the greatest little guy ever, I know he can't really feel love, but I love him so much <3

I think all beardies are beautiful, but Cugmo is a truly outstanding beautie! And very photogenic! What a great smile! I am hooked of beardies, too. And I think they can feel love...when I accidentally became a beardie mom, I did not think reptiles had such emotional capacity. But having my big boy Dezi has changed my mind. He displays an amazing variety of emotions...his facial expressions, body language and even his coloration are keys to his communication. It took a while, but I have learned his "language" so that we communicate constantly. He has his own preferences, moods and he recognises people he has met. He knows his name, walks beside me on or off leash, tells me when he needs to potty, and lets me know what food he wants. He likes to watch football on TV!

I have recently adopted/rescued another beardie, Penny, and she is growing into a fine, sweet girl, who has a personality totally different than DeziLu. The more time I spend with my dragons, the more responsive and cuddly they become. Dezi is almost four years old...he wants only to be with me, on me, or near me at all times. He is so laid back and comfortable with strangers, I can bring him with me in public and most people adore him. He loves the attention! When they are young--less than a year old, they tend to be more focused on food than on cuddles and are much more hyper. Miss Penny is in constant motion. (you can read more about her in the introductions) Your Cugmo looks quite comfortable with people, and will grow to be your best friend, and dearest companion. I will warn you, however, that you may find yourself a happy beardie slave, gladly devoting more time and money than you had expected to these amazing creatures. Welcome to the wonderful, wacky, world of beardies!

Here are some photos of my two "masters"

DeziLu, my first --now over three years old, he is huge: Just over 24" long, and weighs in at 828 g. (the average beardie is about 12", and around 300g) He is a real giant guy, but as gentle and sweet as a little lamb.

Miss Penny, my new baby--she was very broken and scared, emaciated and ready to fight the world when I rescued her as a 6" baby. She is growing into a fine, strong, and delightful dragon. She is learning to trust me, and can now be handled easily, relaxed in my hand. She looks very different than Dezi did at her age.
