Concerned...

my bearded dragon sid has been puffing out here beard in weird, almost hick-up like mostions lately. her whole body sometimes twitches along with the beard too.
also she has been wagging her tail every so often.
and right now shes trying to go to sleep an hour before her lights go off.

i've never seen her do the last two things before, the beard hick-ups ive seen before tho

any ideas?

I am just wondering how old is your beardie???? and how old is your UVB Bulb???

With our 15 month old female we noticed that she was less active and had the whole bearding hick up thing..... we changed the bulb and realized that was it.... we now know we need to change the bulb every 6 months

its not the bulb, i change them every 6 months and its a reptisun 10.0 long strip bulb.
shes been doing fine today, glass dancing all morning. but i think the tail waging might have been due to the fact that her tail started shedding

that might of been it... i have noticed ours like to rub up against their basking logs and what not to try and get rid of all the dead skin

I think that it just part of shedding. My Dobby is doing the same thing right now. It looks like he is puffing up his head, it is normal. No need for concern.
