cleaning a log??

I just got a new bearded dragon he is 2 years old. He came with a real log. Problem....I would like to clean it before I get everything all set up....I thought I heard something about the oven but Im not sure about temps or how long. Thanks!!

Bake at around 200 degrees for about an hour
