Well he isnt eating as much as he should yet but thats probably relocation stress.What size crix are you feeding?Where are you getting the PW from? I always get the 100 count but there is always more then that in there.

I'm feeding the small crickets. The PWs I'm getting from Mulberry Farms and they come 150 in the little container. I don't think he ate more than 50/60. They were the teensy (almost microscopic) size.

EDIT: Also, I think he's kind of a scaredy cat. Tonight after I fed him I took his greens out to try to see if he'd eat any (he didn't). When I put the dish back in his cage (the same place it's been for days), he kind of stretched out and stared at it for a couple of minutes--like he'd never seen it before. :wink: Sometimes when he's in his cage he's kind of dark but when I take him out he lightens up.

Vicki, that's toooo funny!!!!! Well, after he goes through the 4 containers I've got ordered, maybe I'll go to the next size. The last box I bought came from the reptile store but it's the same brand. Maybe they used a few first. :roll:

Could be they did because all PW come from one place really and maybe the second source is taking their cut.I did see you got him at the end of November and your probably questioning how he could still be stressing but it is possible for it to last a few weeks and I hope thats all this is.Is he doen with his shed yet?

Yes, I think he's finished shedding. I'm not sure about around his mouth though. It looks a little dry but maybe not. He gets a bath every morning after breakfast. Aren't we all pathetic?

Can you imagine he just weighs 5 grams and is still 5 inches long? But he's bigger than when I got him.

Yes we are all crazy but thats why we are all here He is definately a tiny little thing and I am betting he was sold too you way too young but if he is growing then thats at least a positive sign.Just keep working with him,you can also offer him very tiny amounts of babyfood to help him out.

I've been wondering about that. Think I'll try it. You have no idea how much stuff I've bought for food and end up throwing it out. Mainly for Cinnamon though. Well, my baby boy cat (10 years old) Monster just woke up from a nap and wants to be loved on.

Well then you must go give him some love Try some babyfood and see how it goes hopefully that will help.

That would be a good idea to supplement him with babyfood, pick up some chicken or turkey and some squash or mixed vegetable babyfood too. The chicken or turkey will help give him extra protein. Mix a small amt of the meat with a larger serving of one of the veggies with a little water to make it just a little thinner along with a pinch of calcium or vitamins depending on which day it is to give one of those supplements. Just to be sure, you are dusting his crickets with calcium 5 days a wk, 1 feeding a day and with vitamins the other 2 days a wk, 1 feeding a day? If he's only eating 7 crickets with the supplement on them, it's possible that he's not getting either of one of those supplements. How close is he to the UVB light?

He just ate 25 crickets for dinner for the first time. Yes, I've been dusting w/calcium once a day for 5 days and vitamins on the other 2 days. Glad you're doing ok, Diane.

Yes he does.That look on his face is one of satisfaction just not sure if its satisfaction from the crix or satisfaction from succesfully driving you nutty :wink: Either way very cute

Awww, so cute. He looks so alert. That's great that he ate that many at one time, he must have known we were discussing his appetite. You must be so relieved, evidently he just needed time to adjust. We need to come up with a name for him, do you have any in mind?
