Can't tell if my dragon is sick or if it's just markings?

Hi all. My baby beardie, Maximus, has bright red marks under his ears on both sides that connect with red marks at the edge of his mouth (more so on one side). There's also a few red scales around his mouth area. He's also been rubbing the side of his head a few times today, even though he shed there last week. Is there something wrong with him? He's fairly active and very alert with a great appetite

I don't see anything wrong, looks like normal markings to me, unless your seeing something different. The itching, maybe there's some left over shed?

He looks OK to me based on that photo. His beard might be getting ready to shed. Can you get some close up pictures of the areas you're concerned with?

The red just looks like his natural scale color. I don't know that he is any specific morph. Just looks like a standard central dragon to me. Looks nice and healthy.
