Brumation :(

Daisy has decided that it is time for her to go into brumation. She is doing it right before she is 1 year old so not really early. She is sleeping under her log right now and doesnt want her butterworm treat. Hopefully she comes out of it before the end of summer or she cant go out and enjoy the sun

Wait... they can brumate during the summer? I thought that was just a winter thing.

Most of mine doze around November or January (cold seasons in my area) but Mocha prefers to nap in March. I've known dragons choose to sleep in the middle of summer.

If in doubt, consult your vet - but do note that some beardies have their own "clocks" and they don't always synch up with the real weather!
