Yeah im in Cali.

The only time I have ever had some get out, is when I was sorting them and a baby would manage to get shaken out of the bin. They are easy to catch though.

I am also from California I was wondering about the temps in this state and the roaches.

But if you have had a colony then I guess thats not an issue.

How slow are they on a scale of 1-10 10 being the slowest

The babies, you could easily catch if one was to drop on the floor.

The females are a bit faster, but still manageable.

The males are definitely the fastest of the bunch, but they can be caught too.

Anyways, you don't have to worry if a male gets out, it can't breed with itself

I don't know its a cousin of one of the most adaptive species on this planet it might find a way to breed with itself
