How is he doing?
He is 7 or a little older? You can give calcium 5 days per week right now, if you suspect metabolic
bone disease. Since you have a new Megaray that should hopefully halt the progression if that is
what is going on. His calcium levels look ok on the blood test.
What did the vet say, regarding his x-rays? The spine appears bright white on the pictures which is
good. He never did have any issues after his fall, correct?
Perhaps his brumation was too much for him, sometimes their levels fall while they are in brumation.
I don't think he has Adeno, it would have manifested way before now.
If you wanted to test him for Adeno, you can sign up on my page & I'll get a testing swab sent to you
no problem.
Is he eating pretty well right now?
Hi Tracie,
Thanks for getting back to me. I am just a very worried for him. He is 6 years old going to be 7 years old in May. The only thing i did notice after he fell which i didnt think anything of it he seemed a bit wobbly in his gait when he walked but i kinda figured it was just do a sprain or something when he fell. Heres an example of when i did see him but alittle less but slightly wobbly in this behavior like:
Both of the vets did not mention anything about MBD. But I am wondering if he does not have MBD but acting like he does would be b vitamin deficiency? B Complex Vitamins This is the b complex vitamin i am giving him but he hates taking this and I usually put like 2 to 3 drops in the baby food but its sooo strong he still knows and turns up his nose. Is there a better natural b vitamin food i can try to give him without the strong vitamin smell/taste? In meantime, I will wait on the Adeno test for now since he isnt showing any other neurological issues.
Good news. He is able to put weight on his affected front limb. He has a strong appetite. As far as the B Complex Vitamins, he turns his nose everytime there is that b complex vitamin smell, is it ok to give him Spirulina Powder? Trying to look for a natural alternative. If so, how much should I use?

The sore arm is actually on the other side but he still has the twitching when he tries to move it. Also his arm/elbow area doesnt bend almost like he is stiff when trying to walk.

I think he is getting slightly better but the twitching and keeping his arm back/bent is what worries me but I am hoping that with the more calcium and b vitamins that should get better in time.

Just an observation: I tried to sneak in and take a photo of him before he sees me but he seems to be angling this way a lot to take pressure off something. If anyone has any thoughts as to why he might be doing this? He doesnt usually bask like that but I've been checking up on him to see how he is doing.
Yes, he got xrays done but we were so focused on his lung issue. I scheduled another vet appointment but wont be available til Feb If it is pre-gout but not showing up on xrays, is it possible?
