Thank you! He is quite handsome, and in good condition! I took some photos of him in the bath earlier -

I think he may be rehomed with my mom in the near future She loves visiting and snuggling her grandlizards haha. And she really has taken a liking to him. She hopes to name him Norbert hahah. We shall see what happens!

Well, we finally named him. Fawkes Took much deliberation. Needed something as 'regal' as he thinks he is Norbert was cute, but Fawkes (being a Phoenix in HP) seemed like the best fit.

Thanks for the all suggestions guys! Naming this one took so long, I sure hope we dont end up with another one

Bindy is turning into a gorgeous young lady. I want to give her my finger to hold in the lifted hand photo. Hawkeye Nd Fawkes are stunning. Their eyes are incredible. Fawkes' are so blue in the photos!

We do have a sick little Fawkes at the moment though. He started pooping blood today. So off to the vet we go this week. Hopefully he poos this week so I can get a fecal off to them too.

Not a good weekend all in all. But hopefully we can clear him up quickly

Well the Vet was very prompt at giving something to try and fix Fawkes.

Her first observation was he is REALLY dehydrated. So strange. He drinks like crazy in the bath, and gets them 2-3 times a week. She says his humidity could be too low..

Also, when she was feeling him underneath his tummy on the right side she felt what may be an impaction.

She also suggested Gout. I don't know enough about this though.

She did give us a dewormer just in case, and now we wait for him to poo to send off a fecal. Blarg.

Poor Fawkes! Poor Momma too. Worms can steal nutrition. Maybe they can steal moisture too? I don't know. Just a thought. More bath time and lots of wetter foods like squash baby foods and things like that?

I shall look into getting him fresh babyfood this evening! I have some stuff from last year, but I don't know how long that stuff can keep. The dates say forever.. I mixed some calcium powder in it to make sure he was getting calcium but he was NOT happy with me after this. Maybe the liquid calcium I have will mix better now..

Thanks for the tip! Should lube him up to make a nice poo too haha

Oh it will! Did the doc say anything about olive or mineral oil for the impaction possibility? It's supposed to help lubricate it along too. It gets down in there with the baby food. The jarred stuff usually has a super long date because it's canned like preserves. Odahviing loves squash which is great for fiber which is also great for bowel trouble. I bet that would be awesome with a little olive oil to help move Fawkes along. Like mix a bit of both together.

Do a search on here for Impaction and Olive Oil. I know I've seen it talked about. I'm on my phone or else I'd find it and link you to it. I make a mix when Odahviing is shedding and not into eating, but it involves baby food as well. I put it into a needleless syringe, dab a little on her nose and she goes to town on it after that. I have video of her eating that way on my YouTube channel. My username is JanuaryGirl1 Again.. I'd link. But phone. >_<

Got Fawkes' fecal off today. He left a little one last night. Minuscule. Hope they can get something from it. And there was a pool of blood about the size of a nickel. Sure hope this fecal comes back with something treatable!
