Hello! This is my first post on here because I have searched everywhere, and I can't find an answer that fits my situation!
My sweet beardie got a new home back in January from our vet, and it's 36x24x24 (the vet gave it to me for free when I took her to be treated for pinworms- the viv was donated to them)! She also has a separate viv at school since she is our class pet, and it's similar, but it's 6 inches shorter than her home tank.
Both tanks have the same ZooMed ReptiSun 10.0 UVB T5HO 22, and 75w halogen heating bulb. They are mounted together on the underside of my tank's lid.
In her school tank, she is incredibly active- almost to a fault. She seems worked up occasionally, which I know could be the stimulus of the classroom as well, but overall, she is just more active. She also poops every day in her school tank. She loves to get out, hang out with the kids, and be handled.
At home, she is far less active and only poops every other day. She spends about half of her day in the corner away from her heat lamp, even though the vet said she would recommend a higher heat bulb. I don't understand why she is so different in each tank, and I'm sure it has something to do with my husbandry- I'm thinking lights. In the picture she is on the hammock, but she normally sits between the hide and the hammock.
Can someone advise me on what to do? Do I need a higher wattage heat bulb? A shorter viv? A better UVB?
I've posted a picture of my tank for reference! The vet says she's growing fast, but she's already had to be treated for two types of parasites! She makes me a crazy reptile mommy!
